Before I start this post, I'm really sorry for my lack in posting. Now that my baseball season has ended, I should be able to post more often.
Okay, so at church, our pastor, gave a message on Judges 6, the story of Gideon. Now, Gideon was just an ordinary guy. In fact, he was one of the lowest in his town. God used him of all people to show his power. At this time in the Bible, the Israelites were in bondage to the Midianites. God took Gideon, and 300 hundred men, and annihilated thousands of Midianites to free the Israelites from bondage. It just got me thinking of how God doesn't just use the Bible scholars, which I am definitely not, he uses everybody. In most of the stories in the Bible, he actually used the ones that weren't the strongest, the smartest, the bravest. David was the youngest of all his brothers, Gideon was one of the lowest of his town. God doesn't just use the ones who are the greatest. He uses the weak ones to show his power and glory. I really hope God uses me in great ways during my life. Sometimes it gets hard to really believe the verse Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you, and not to harm you; plans to give you a hope and a future." My prayer for my own life is simply that God will use me.
Another thing, my guitar teacher and our former worship guitar player at church, asked my brother and I to play for the worship team on June 13th. I can't wait!
